SNSD Jessica feat. Super Junior-M

Ahaha~ I'm kidding about the title, but as all you may know my SNSD bias always prevails when the time is appropriate. And, matter of fact, today it is certainly appropriate due to Super Junior-M's release of their MV for title song 'Super Girl', which also happens to include SNSD's Ice Princess in it as well.

'Super Girl' MV:

Before I get derailed into more Soshi related spaz, I think it's worth noting that Super Junior-M is a 7 member Mandarin-Chinese subset of the popular group, Super Junior. The release of this MV is probably to promote their soon-to-be-released mini album of the same title, coming later this month.

As for my opinion on the video itself, I think it has many borrowed themes both musically and aesthically from their big hit, 'Sorry Sorry', but that doesn't necessarily make it a bad thing. In fact, I did enjoy the MV (and this is not because of Sica mind you); the rhythm was easy to follow and had a really modern feel to it.

It is, however, quite daunting to be listening to Super Junior sing in a language other than Korean.

Korean Incheon Wave Festival 2009

Unless you were at Incheon, South Korea on September 5th, you may have missed the some of the most big-name K-Pop groups perform at this year's Incheon Wave Festival.

Luckily for you (and for me as well), MBC will be releasing the broadcast of the entire the event on September 12th, 3:20AM EST.

I'm really looking forward to this event, not only to see Soshi on stage again, but just to really sit back and enjoy this time sans school work. I've also updated the streaming page with more options just in case this will not be on the livestream cast.

Oh yeah, one more thing to add; SBS will be airing a new episode of Star King on September 12th at 5:30AM EST as well. This episode will feature Jessica, Sunny, Tiffany, and Yuri from SNSD, so if one showing of Soshi isn't enough for the night, this will surely be.

F(x), G-Dragon Recent Radio Activities

It's always great to see artists participating in radio shows because it's a time when members of the groups can really show off their vocal talents, without the garishness of a live performance. This week, f(x), after debuting only a few days ago, had the opportunity to show up on Sukira Kiss the Radio, which is DJ'ed by none other than fellow SM members Leeteuk and Eunhyuk from Super Junior.

Aside from performing their debut single, LA chA TA (do I really need to write it this way?), f(x)'s Luna covered 'I Have Nothing':

LA chA TA:

The two groups seem to be getting along well, and SuJu's been giving them quite a bit of support lately, which I feel they deserve anyways.

Making allkpop's front page as well, G-Dragon's appearance on Maybee's Raise the Volume is also his first appearance on a radio show as a solo artist. Singing both 'Heartbreaker' and 'A Boy' live, at least he makes it very clear that he doesn't need autotune as a crutch after all.

Heartbreaker:

A Boy:

Well, that's it for radio shows for now, though I have just recently finished watching SNSD on FM4U Dreamy Radio subbed. Some of the most notable highlights has to be Jessica's cover of 'Kiss Me', and SNSD's cover of 'I Have a Lover'.

I'll post part one just in case you're interested:

SNSD on "Gag Concert"

Well, even after SNSD has long ended their promotion for Genie, they still manage to entertain us (well me at least). The 10th Anniversary episode of "Gag Concert" featured the eight girls (unfortunately, Taengoo had schedule conflicts) on the 'No Voice' segment of the show. Basically, this portion goes as a standard performance, though the background music would randomly cut out and members would get a chance to spout whatever witty comments they can think of.

Apparently the audience had nothing but positive feedback, so much so that they went ahead and did a "Girls' Generation" performance after finishing "Genie".

It's all in good fun, but after seeing this it makes me miss the girls even more.

Two New Girl Groups; Lady Collection, Secret

Oh wow, as if there weren't too many of these already allkpop has to go ahead and report that there will be not one, but two new girl groups debuting quite soon.

The first YG Entertainment sponsored group, 'Lady Collection', is a trio of vocal members, one of them being Jieun (JC) who debuted 2 years ago. Their first mini-album is set to release on the 17th of September.

I really don't have much to comment on other than that if YG will stay away (far away) from their 2NE1 concept, I'm fine. Really, they need strong vocalists right now and if this group can pass on the autotune I think YG may have something here.

The second of two, deemed 'Secret', will consist of four members, one of them being Jun Hyo Sung; a recent winner of the audition show "Battle Shinhwa". It is planned that from September 9th on, more members will be gradually revealed, and that on the 21st, the group will be introduced by a reality show titled "Secret Story".

Now this group I really don't know much about other than the aforementioned member being an '88. They seem to be debuting in a similar manner that SNSD did about 2 years ago now, with their 'Girls Go To School' having the same concept.

Honestly I really don't need any more groups to follow. After f(x) just recently debuting, and 4minute making their comeback there's already enough to cover. This is not counting B2ST too, who are pending to make their appearance on the scene in September as well.

You know all this news is making me think of just being a full-time Sone, hopefully they will prove me otherwise.

Taeyeon ChinChin Radio Dorkiness

If you guys remember from a while back when SNSD Jessica and Park Myung Soo released the catchy summer tune, Naeng Myun, from Infinity Challenge, then I'm sure you can recall SNSD Taeyeon's past antics on her ChinChin Radio broadcast.

For those who don't remember:

Yeah, killing you with cuteness indeed.

Anyways, Taengoo's up to her old tricks again, this time with 2NE1's "I Don't Care", to which her inner dork truly gets another chance to shine:

I'm pretty sure everyone can't help but fall in love with that. But on a related note, 2NE1 and SNSD are on good terms with each other, and this is probably just a friendly jostle at both their recent successes.

On a more serious note, here's her most recent performance at the 36th South Korean Broadcasting Awards, singing "Can You Hear Me?" along with SNSD Seohyun accompanying on the piano:

Just Adorkable~
